Mid Season May Report

‍ ‍

May was an incredibly busy month with some great results to report as we are at mid season, but also at 50 days of formal racing and training camp already for the season!.

‍ ‍

Here are some May Highlights:

‍ ‍

Tour de Bloom WASH : May 14-19

‍ ‍

Solid results from start to finish. Tyler Hartle consistently finished in the top 10. New recruit Danny Millam made some impressive gains during the 6 days. One of the most standout was when he bridged a 1 ½ min gap  on his own to the breakaway on stage 4. The breakaway stuck to the final 2km and it flipped to another top 10 for Tyler as the peloton came together. But the effort and confidence in that move by Danny was impressive and points to great ability for the very new to the road, rider.

‍ ‍

Jayden McMullen finished second in the 3rd stage criterium for a well deserved podium.

‍ ‍

Essor Breton FRA  May 21-25

‍ ‍

Nathan Pruner and Gabriel Seguin both rode to top 10 finishes over the course of the 5 day event, finding their European racing legs for the first time this year.

‍ ‍

Vuelta Bantrab ARG May 9-17

‍ ‍

Aidan Sebel showed really mature tactical racing and spirit to finish 3rd and on the podium in the final stage of this 9 day UCI event. Aidan was super active and present in a number of breakaways over the week plus event. The final time it went to the finish for the podium sprint!

‍ ‍

Tour de la Manche FRA May 28 -31

‍ ‍

This year we had a standout 2 performers in Gabriel Seguin and Charles Bergeron. The whole team rode for the wins across the board, and as we were 1 sec from the yellow jersey for the first 3 days, the team had to pull together to fight for that distinction, sometimes at their own personal sacrifice.

‍ ‍

For the first few days Gabriel Seguin was standing in 2nd position overall, just 1 sec away from the yellow jersey. He also held the Young Riders Leaders jersey. This unfortunately disappeared when both he and the racer in the yellow jersey were out of a significant breakaway that went away to gain considerable time in the 2nd to last day. Gabriel, at 19, is riding like a true class act. Let’s remember he is our Country’s Senior National Omnium Champion from earlier this year. He is definitely a rider to watch in the upcoming months.

‍ ‍

Huge props to Charles Bergeron who came through with a hard fought win of the points jersey. This put the team on the winners podium on the final day and for overall ,after suffering the loss of Gabs Young rider jersey, and almost being in the yellow!

Thank you so much for your support of these young athletes. They truly are reaching for the stars.

‍ ‍

I hope you can possibly support us again for the 2026 tax year. These races are so expensive now, even with riders paying for their travel it is hard to keep ahead of it.
