National Title #25 and keeping a perfect record of winning ways at the 2026 Championships for TaG !

‍ ‍

TaG has had an impressive list of podium finishes over a 14 year Race Team life. In addition to all the multiple colours of medals that have been won , this year TaG won its 25th National Title! And better yet, won by a u23 in the senior field!

‍ ‍

Notably, this was also a straight 3 year run of titles with a title in 2024, 2 in 2025 and now a senior title for 2026.

‍ ‍

Jayden McMullen stomped an incredibly masterful win of the National Crit Championship in the senior elite field on Sunday June 28 in St Georges Quebec.

‍ ‍

Jayden rode like a pro with ice in his veins” , said Team Director and 3 time Olympian Gord Fraser. Gord should know,as he was an acclaimed bunch sprinter in his era of racing. “The  team committed to the train ,but even at the last moment Jayden realized he was getting squeezed and had to take advantage of another teams positioning in the final lap to capture the win”. Extremely professional riding on his part.

‍ ‍

Amaia Ervin Arambarri was our opening medal winner with a bronze in the women’s u23 Individual Time Trial. As she said, it was her first “big girl podium”. Amaia came from Triathlon just a year ago and is already standing on a National Championship podium!

‍ ‍

Amaia has been invited to race in Belgium on a pro devo team for all of July.

‍ ‍

The men’s team had an incredibly good showing in the 198km road race  June 26th. With heavy representation by World Tour riders such as Derek Gee,Hugo Houle and Michael Woods, there were only 31 riders remaining “in the race” at the finish. 4 of our TaG Cycling u23 were there.

‍ ‍

The breakaway of 8 finished 2 mins ahead of the main group, where TaG finished with 3 riders in the top 10 Espoir(u23) competition. Gabriel Seguin in 6th. Maxim Wojciechowski in 8th ,Gabriel Tilli in 9th   and Charles Waddel in 14th . All our first year u23 riders just out of junior!

‍ ‍

The women’s race was equally vicious, and eventually was won by our TaG Alumni Maggie Coles- Lyster who is now turning heads on the Women’s World Tour.

‍ ‍

Amaia fought hard and would finish 7th . She was apologetic and disappointed with being off the podium, but as a new racer she has impressed many.

‍ ‍

‍ ‍

I hope you can possibly support us again for the 2026 tax year. We struggle to keep making it happen , even with riders paying for their travel it is hard to fund this program.
