Amaia Ervin Arambarri wins Gold at Canada Summer Games and is selected to Team Canada for Tour de Gatineau
Amaia was a young triathlete from Alberta just one year ago. The 20 year old is in her first year of transitioning full time to Cycling and what a successful first year she has had.
Amaia has been like a sponge. Being thrown into new scenarios and learning on the fly.
She jumped into the peloton and found her way, listening carefully to the coaches, acknowledging her mistakes and progressing every race.
Amaia climbed to the top step of the podium in St Johns last week winning the Gold medal in the individual time trial.
Her reward is a call up to National Team for the womens UCI stage race, Tour de Gatineau in Quebec.
Very happy for this young rider who is a delight to coach and work with.
Thank you all for being a part of Amaia’s dream year.
