2024 TEAM ROSTER

(VANCOUVER, BC, December 11, 2023) – We are happy to share with you our finalized roster for the 2024 cycling season.

The team’s 2024 roster will be composed of eight men, and five women. The women’s racing being by project, so we will have some guest riders!. 2023 Director Sportif, triple Olympian and former Pro, Gord Fraser,is back for the season to guide the team.

Gillian Ellsay who was with us 2022&2023,progressed impressively, and has moved on to direct a European based women’s program. A development team called Cynisca. Another success in our development strategy!.

The Team is excited to announce it will be supported by new logistics  manager,Michelle Paiemnt of Doceo Velo cycling studio in Montreal. The team owner, is Olympian Lesley Tomlinson, owner of TaG Cycling Coaching and studios in Vancouver and Whistler, BC

Returning to the men’s team is Nathan Pruner (North Vancouver BC), Reid Kinniburgh (Calgary AB), Manu Moore, Marc Sato (Vancouver, BC) and Braden Kersey (Vernon, BC).

New to the men’s team is 2022 Junior National TT Champ and Pan American Games Team Pursuit Gold Medalist, Campbell Parrish (Vancouver,BC) pictured above. There are two new riders right out of the junior ranks. Sasha Renaud Tremblay (QUE) who was bronze medalist in the 2023 Junior National TT Championships, and. Samael Fleury Nadeau (QUE) also joining us. He showed great speed finishing 5th in the 2023 Junior National Criterium Championships.

Standout performances this year were accumulated by the entire team. They finished top 10 team in every UCI outing and always a top 5 finish in u23 GC.

We have to tout the incredible performance of all the team at Nationals. Of the 40 riders finishing the 200km 45kph mens race,.there were 4 of ours in the finale. 19 year old Reid Kinniburgh finishing 8th overall, followed by Braden Kersey, and Nathan Pruner. Reid also finished 8th u23 in both Tour de Beauce and Joe Martins Stage Races.Nathan Pruner went on to race in Ecuador with a 5th place stage finish to follow his top 10 finishes in every outing this year.

The women’s team is anchored by young star Sidney Sweirenga (BC) who is just a first year junior in 2024. Sidney has been racing junior but is only just an actual junior. Her 4th and 8th places at Junior Nationals in TT and Road Race showed an impressive level. Sidney also lead the TaG women’s team to a victory in the Whistler Gran Fondo.Finshing 2nd overall and not far behind our men’s team, showing 125 km of racing is no big deal. Sidney has great diversity, she finished 5th in CX Junior National Championships as well..

We are excited to be fielding a young team at our international events. Ashton Thompson (AB) will be joined by guest rider Larissa Pederson (ONT). Racing locally in BC will be new rider Maddie Pollock (BC) and former 3000 m Junior record holder in athletics, Nicole Hutchinson (BC).

Lesley Tomlinson of TaG Cycling comments,

“I am so pleased with our team makeup and that we were able to grow our women’s program and schedule for next year.

On the men’s side in 2023 we had several riders well along in their development pathway such as Campbell Parrish who is part of the National Team Men’s Pursuit Roster and we are excited to see what Nathan and Reid have in store to follow up on their breakthrough performances in 2023. Braden Kersey shows lots of promise and started really strongly this spring winning 2 early season races where he was significantly outnumbered.

Young riders Manu, Marc, Sasha and Samael all are poised to take this opportunity in their career as first and second year in u23.

Our women are planning to line up alongside the men at Redlands, but also race Tour de Bloom and plans include the UCI Gatineau Grand Prix. Most importantly, we will be nurturing all the riders towards National Team opportunities .Particularly Nations Cup racing for the women juniors in Europe.

We are very pleased to be welcoming back and working with Gord Fraser as Director. He brings extensive knowledge of coaching and directing at the highest levels of the sport. Gord will be able to provide the men’s team with valuable skills both on and off-the bike to further their cycling goals.

I am thankful we are able to continue supporting these athletes in this difficult but exciting phase of their career.

So much is because of the support we have from friends and family of TaG in the cycling world. Thank you all for your enabling contributions.

Thank you so much for supporting these young and ambitious athletes! Lesley Tomlinson
